Are Summer Weddings a Thing of the Past?

When we think of wedding season, we thing of the warm summer months when flowers are in full bloom and the sun sets late.

But with summers just getting hotter and hotter, are summer weddings a thing of the past?

THE GREAT OUTDOORS

One major advantage of having a wedding in the summer is that you can take advantage of outdoor ceremony and reception venues which are great for big weddings and romantic nights with friends and family.

Weather also tends to be better in the summer months, making it easier for guests to travel and attend.

However, with global temperatures rising each year, the summer months could get too hot for a comfortable wedding experience. In certain areas of the world where extreme heat is becoming increasingly common, this could mean that summer weddings are no longer feasible or safe.

Obviously that doesn't mean people won't get married. What it does mean is that we may be in the transition to later wedding seasons such as Autumn, Winter or Spring weddings.

FALL WEDDINGS

Autumn weddings are becoming more popular due to the cooler temperatures and vibrant colors of fall foliage.

This can make for an incredibly beautiful romantic backdrop, while still being comfortable enough to enjoy your special day. Springtime has its own unique beauty as well, with blooming flowers and warmer days.

WINTER WEDDINGS

Winter weddings are also growing in popularity and can create a beautiful, yet cozy atmosphere.

With fire places and hot cocoa stations these weddings tend to be a little more intimate and allow for some creative decorations with lights and festive colors.

SPRING WEDDINGS

And weddings early in the spring are a great replacement for those who want warmer weather but don't want the risk of extreme temperatures.

Regardless of the season, it is still possible to have a beautiful wedding. While summer weddings will always hold a special place in our hearts, there are still plenty of other ways to make your wedding experience magical and memorable. With creativity, planning and flexibility you can create a dreamy wedding no matter what the season.

At the end of the day, all that matters is that you and your spouse-to-be have a wonderful day surrounded by loved ones celebrating such an amazing moment in life. So go ahead and plan for whatever season works best for you. After all, your wedding should be special no matter when it happens...

We hope you have a magical wedding day regardless of what season you pick.
