Let's be honest, we all want that perfect, fairytale wedding and what better way to make that dream come true than a Disney Dream Wedding? With an array of options from intimate ceremonies to extravagant affairs, there’s something for everyone at any of the many Disney properties here in the U.S.
From the moment you step foot onto the property until you wave goodbye as newlyweds, your day will be nothing short of magical. From the beautiful decor and backdrops, to the impeccable customer service, a Disney Dream Wedding is truly something special.
But when I was working there for my internship as a Castmember at the Walt Disney World resort, sighing romantically at all the pretty lights, I couldn't help but wonder..."how much does it cost to get married here?"
PRICING
So, how much does it cost? While every Disney property offers different packages and pricing structures, you can expect to pay anywhere from around $5,000 for an intimate ceremony at Aulani in Hawaii to tens of thousands for a full-fledged wedding at Disney World in Orlando.
The prices vary depending on the type of wedding you select, the number of guests, and the time of year. If you’re planning on having a larger wedding (think 150+ guests), then it’s best to look into options at Walt Disney World and Disneyland where they can accommodate up to 400 people or more.
For those looking for a smaller celebration, Aulani and the Disney Cruise Line both offer stunning venues (both on land or sea!) that can be tailored to your needs.
When it comes to prices, you’ll find a variety of packages available at each property. Generally speaking, most basic packages include the venue rental fee, a wedding coordinator/planner, food and beverage packages, floral decorations, and a photo session. Additional add-ons such as live entertainment or fireworks can be added for an extra cost.
You can choose from either the cruise line or the Aulani resort, or from the various choices at the California and Florida park locations as well.
Regardless of the size or type of wedding you’re planning, rest assured that Disney will make your special day everything you dreamed it could be.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
It’s important to note that most of the packages available include all of the basics, like tables and chairs, catering, cake and photo/video services.
You can also opt to customize your package with additional add-ons like an ice sculpture or fireworks show. These options are also available at most Disney locations, including Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
While the packages vary from one property to the next, you can usually expect some sort of bridal suite for getting ready, a selection of audio/visual equipment, a rehearsal dinner venue and access to on-site wedding specialists who will assist you in planning your dream wedding.
And of course, you’ll also get access to the amazing theming and decorations that Disney is known for. From iconic landmarks such as Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland to mesmerizing sunsets at Aulani in Hawaii, your photos will be nothing but perfect!
At the end of the day, the cost of a Disney Dream Wedding will depend greatly on what you would like included in the package. But no matter what, there’s no doubt that a Disney wedding will leave you with memories to last a lifetime!
